Shane's Six Nations Diary
THE nerves are already setting in for Saturday and there are a few anxious boys in the camp already.
The fact we're just one game away from a Grand Slam after our disappointing World Cup campaign is unbelievable.
But we know that if we get carried away with things this week, we could end up blowing not only the Grand Slam, but also the championship.
Having said that, the boys have all got their feet on the ground and all the focus is on finishing the job come Saturday.
We know France are a top team and they will be coming over looking to take the championship away from us.
But the atmosphere in Cardiff, and throughout the rest of Wales for that matter, is going to be electric and is something we are all looking forward to.
We'll be taking on the French after what I think was our best performance of the championship in Dublin on Saturday.
It was the best all-round game we've played, but to be honest, I think we should have pulled away from them a bit more.
It was pretty much a perfect day for me and I was obviously delighted to score such an important try.
Nine times out of ten, I would be smashed trying to hand someone off, but on Saturday I just managed to get through.
Obviously it meant I equalled the record, but I was just delighted to get over because the match was so tight.
We're in for another hard few days before the weekend but I hope it will all be worthwhile and we're celebrating with the rest of the country on Saturday night.
