Ammanford 0 Treharris 1
AMMANFORD'S hunt for points continues after Treharris snatched a last-gasp winner on Saturday.
The hosts, who are in the bottom quarter of the league were desperate for points as were their visitors who were just below them.
Ammanford had much of the better play and should have been comfortable winners.
The best chance came as early as the 15th minute when Luke Fayres saw his chance superbly saved by the keeper.
Fayres then hit the bar after he lobbed the keeper while one-on-one as Ammanford piled on the pressure.
The young players never gave up the chase and Matthew Fisher and David Rhode had two great chances but again, luck was not on their side.
And with the match going into the last few minutes it took a great Richard Walton save to keep the score 0-0.
Minutes later though, Treharris-in one of their rare attacks- scored with just two minutes to go.
Credit must go to Ammanford for playing quality football in very trying, windy conditions and if they continue to play this quality, they will soon shoot up the table.
The firsts are away to Grange Harlequins on Saturday, while the reserves are home to Morriston.
